Welcome To My World
Over the years, I have been called many things – son, husband, father, friend, leader, teacher. To my friends I am Rami. A simple human being with simple tastes and aspirations.
People close to me claim that I can often come across as passionate and driven. At heart, I'm a dreamer through and through, and there is so much in this world that never ceases to amaze me. I should have been a practical person. After all, aren't all engineers? :)
But they say you can never restrain a romantic soul within the confines of science and reason, and I guess that's true. Despite my educational background, I never stopped being an idealist (on second thought, that engineering certificate that proudly proclaims my name Rami Misbah Taha could very well have been awarded for Literature, I suppose).
I am thrilled every time the first snowflake hits my bare skin. I love the rain. The bright, white light of the sun gives me strength and hope to get out of bed and get on with life every day. And I love to see the my name on the nameplate of my small apartment. You see a pattern here?
The sense of wonder never diminishes, never stops. Probably this is the reason I thought I would start my own website. Not to shamelessly promote myself, but to understand myself better and keep a record of my thoughts and impressions about life, about the world, and about people in general. I hope you enjoy reading my words as much as I love writing them!
PS: Once someone asked me what Rami Misbah Taha means. After all, every name is supposed to have a meaning! But I differ. I believe that every person creates a meaning out of a name. I hope this blog helps me in finding more about myself.
